- Waking up before sunrise
Waking up a little early at a fixed time every day can be the best thing we can do to start our day in a disciplined manner. As the saying goes like “Early to bed early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise”. The early morning time itself has many blessings, nature begins to restore its activities, the air feels so cold and fresh, and the environment looks so serene and silent. The morning time is considered auspicious to perform any religious or spiritual activity, or one can do any work of focus like planning the day or studying for an exam, or we can just sit silently and ponder about the solutions we want and we can most likely get accurate and creative solutions.
- Meditating
Meditating in the morning is proven to be very effective in planting the seed of peace in our minds which helps in maintaining calm all over the day. It also helps to observe, slow down and direct our thoughts in a positive direction. It is proven to improve our emotional stability and make us mentally strong.
- Reading positive content
It is said that what we read, watch and listen to forms the base of our thought process. Reading something positive and empowering is like having a healthy and nourishing diet for our intellect. It gives our mind and intellect a positive direction and forms a strong base for our thought process. Thus, it helps to start our day with a more mature and empowered mind.
- Exercise
Good nutrition, daily exercise, and adequate sleep are the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. We have listened a lot about the benefits of exercising daily but only a few of us do it daily. We should aim to exercise at least six days a week but if we end up doing it for four days that is also good. Exercising is beneficial for both mental and physical health and helps in building immunity.
- Mindful eating
The food we eat has its own energy that influences our thinking, which depends on the intention with which it is prepared. So, it is always good to cook our food with love and pure vibrations. And before eating we should be grateful to God, have some positive thoughts, and consume our food in silence without any other distractions.
- Practicing awareness throughout the day
One task after the other without any break during a busy day can make our minds very tired. We should make a habit to pause after every hour and regain our mind’s awareness and clarity and get back to work. This will save our mental energy and will keep our minds on track.
- Practice gratitude
We should be grateful for every small big thing we have and we have got from God, nature, and the people around us. Being grateful fills our hearts with contentment and happiness and we began to value things more that we sometimes don’t realize are valuable.
- Have time with nature
It is always good to spend some time with nature, it will help you connect better with yourself. The best gift you can give to yourself and to the world is yourself. Your true self is indeed a blessing to the world. This is because the one who knows his real self will never harm the world. It can be simply a walk-in green woody track or a visit to some green place near you.
- Eat early and light dinner
Eating a light dinner before 7 pm is very beneficial for better sleep, better digestion, lower blood pressure, and better metabolism to reduce obesity and many chronic diseases risk.
- Distance from digital media one hour before sleep
In the old times our ancestors used to go to bed early after the sun goes down, they used to have a very deep natural sleep as there were no digital devices in their hands to keep them engaged till bedtime.
- Have a journal before going to bed
Having a journal about how the day went is a very good practice we can do to summarize our day, clean the slate of our minds and go to sleep with a clear and free mind.
- Sleep In time
And last, we should make a habit of sleeping in time so that we can get enough amount of quality sleep that our body needs to recharge itself and we also wake in time.
